#26 Trey Cobb
- Former Mets and Phillies prospect; has made it as high as Triple-A
- 2.99 ERA in four years at Oklahoma State University, where he played in the College World Series
- Allowed 21 hits in 31 innings with Triple-A Lehigh Valley in 2023

Jean Correa
- Former Royals and Reds prospect; has made it as high as Double-A
- Threw 94-pitch complete-game shutout with Billings (Pioneer League) last season; signed by Reds soon after
- Joined Monarchs from Class A Daytona, where he struck out 8.7 batters per nine innings this season

#39 Brandon Finnegan
- Kansas City Royal in 2014-2015, including 2014 AL Championship run
- Five years of big-league experience with Royals and Reds (2014-2018)
- First to pitch in College World Series (TCU) and World Series in same year
- Pitched in Triple-A last season with CHW

#35 Grant Gavin
- Drafted by his hometown Royals out of the University of Central Missouri
- Has struck out 10.6 batters per nine innings in his six-year affiliated career
- Third Kansas City area native to sign with Monarchs for 2023 (Zach Matson, Dalton Moats)

#28 Ashton Goudeau
- 27 career MLB games with the Rockies and Reds in 2020, 2021 and 2022
- Joins the Monarchs from the Tigers organization (in Triple-A earlier this season)
- Played college ball at Metropolitan Community College-Maple Woods in Kansas City, Missouri

#13 Zac Grotz
- Former major leaguer (Seattle, 2019-20)
- 9 seasons of pro experience, including time with five different MiLB organizations
- Began 2023 season with Monclova (Mexican League)

#31 Matt Hartman
- Started the American Association All-Star Game for the West Division in 2022
- Back for a second year with the Monarchs and fifth pro season
- 3.62 ERA for Monterrey (Mexican Pacific Winter League) in 2022-23
- Former Atlanta Braves prospect

#18 Miller Hogan
- From Overland Park, Kansas
- Former Rays prospect; pitched in Triple-A last season
- 8.9 K/9 and 1.6 BB/9 in four-year affiliated career
- Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Year in 2018 at St. Louis University

#38 Trey Jeans
- 11.9 K/9 over 33 games in High-A and Double-A last season
- Spent three years in the White Sox organization (33rd-round draft pick out of ULM)
- 3.76 ERA his senior year of college in 2019

#19 Jordan Martinson
- 2022 AAPB Midseason All-Star (3.39 ERA in 45 games over full season)
- Returns for his second year with the Monarchs and fourth in pro ball
- Broke Dallas Baptist University’s single-season strikeout record in 2019
- Former LA Dodgers prospect

#29 Zach Matson
- Native of the Kansas City area (born in Fayetteville)
- Pitched in Triple-A last season (Former Orioles, Rockies and Pirates prospect)
- Sports a 3.92 ERA and 11.1 K/9 in his pro career

#3 Jalen Miller
- Joined the Monarchs at the close of last season, posting a 2.52 ERA over five games (regular season and playoffs)
- Former Baltimore Orioles prospect (2019)
- Born in Italy, played college ball at Mineral Area College in Missouri and Central Methodist University

#24 Dalton Moats
- Kansas City native; attended Park Hill High School
- Making his Monarchs debut after six seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays organization
- Earned a 3.60 ERA in 51 appearances with Triple-A Durham last year, a full run below the league average.

#41 Bubby Rossman
- Former major leaguer (Phillies, 2022)
- Played in 2023 World Baseball Classic with Team Israel (2 IP, 1 H, 3 K)
- Third stint in the American Association
(Sioux City, 2017; Cleburne, 2019)
- Started the season in Triple-A
with the Mets organization

#8 Alex Valdez
- The Monarchs’ closer for the 2022 pennant race and postseason
- Posted 1.08 ERA over seven regular-season games with KC last year
- Known for his wipeout slider

#30 Patrick Weigel
- Former major leaguer (Braves, 2020 and Brewers, 2021)
- Working on a new cutter, says "it will be a big pitch for me going forward"
- College teammates with Monarchs first baseman Gio Brusa at the University of the Pacific
POSITION PLAYERS

#14 Micker Adolfo
- Former top-10 prospect in the Chicago White Sox organization
- Outfielder with plenty of pop in his bat and an excellent throwing arm
- Hit 15 homers and 18 doubles in 96 games with Triple-A Charlotte last season

#6 Cameron Cannon
- Former Red Sox and Phillies prospect; has played as high as Triple-A
- 2nd-round pick by Boston in 2019
- First-team All-American at U. of Arizona, where he was teammates with fellow Monarchs Justin Wylie and Cody Deason
- Hit 30 doubles in 98 games in 2021

#17 Gavin Collins
- Former Cleveland and Tampa Bay prospect who played 16 games in big-league spring training earlier this year
- 13th-round draft pick after an impressive college career at Mississippi State
- Has pro experience at third base as well as catcher

#4 LJ Hatch
- Former Rockies prospect who spent last season in Triple-A (.830 OPS)
- Played in MLB spring training games with the Rockies earlier this year
- Born in Shawnee, Kansas, attended Johnson County CC and New Mexico State

#10 Jan Hernandez
- One of the AAPB’s top hitters back for his third year with the Monarchs
- 24 home runs and 71 RBIs in 73 games last season with KC (1.095 OPS)
- Has played winter ball in his native Puerto Rico for the past nine seasons
- Played in Triple-A with the Phillies and Reds

#9 Odubel Herrera
- Seven seasons of MLB experience from 2015 to 2022, all with the Phillies
- MLB All-Star in 2016; hit .286 with a .781 OPS that season with 15 HR and 25 SB
- Native of Venezuela, former MVP of the Venezuelan Winter League

#7 Chris Herrmann
- Has eight years of MLB experience with the Twins, Diamondbacks, Mariners and Athletics
- Can play the outfield (88 MLB appearances) as well as catcher
- 6th-round draft pick by the Twins in 2009
- Nicknamed “The Herrmannator”

#16 Brian O’Grady
- Experienced bat with power from the left side
- 62 games of MLB experience with the Reds (2019), Rays (2020) and Padres (2021)
- Played in Nippon Pro Baseball in 2022 and the Korea Baseball Organization

#47 Jacob Robson
- Former major leaguer (Detroit, 2021)
- Joined the Monarchs in August 2022, had a 1.034 OPS during the regular season
- Played for Team Canada in the 2023 World Baseball Classic

#2 Taylor Snyder
- Former COL and CWS prospect;has played as high as Triple-A
- Hit 30 home runs in 2021 between Double-A and Triple-A
- Great defensively; can play all over the infield

#1 Justin Wylie
- Frontier League All-Star in 2022 with the New Jersey Jackals (.306 AVG, .961 OPS, 20 HR in 93 games)
- Played for Great Britain in the 2023 World Baseball Classic
- Acquired via trade with New Jersey April 6

#12 Andy Yerzy
- Joins Monarchs from Reds organization, where he played in Triple-A this year
- 2nd-round pick by Arizona in 2016 (52nd overall)
- From Toronto; represented Canada in the 2019 Pan American Games qualifiers and 2019 Premier12
