Monarchs Eliminated By RedHawks

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Kansas City Monarchs 2025 season was cut short in a tightly-contested Game 3.

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks bounced the Monarchs, 6-0, on Saturday night at Legends Field. The RedHawks advance to face the Sioux Falls Canaries in the West Division Championship Series.

RedHawks starting pitcher Tyler Jandron (1-0) put together a stellar performance. The left-hander dealt six scoreless innings and retired 14 consecutive batters.

Steffon Moore thrilled out of the bullpen for Kansas City. The southpaw struck out five in two innings of work.

The RedHawks grabbed the lead in the first inning off Monarchs starter Ashton Goudeau. Former major leaguer Dillon Thomas made it 1-0 on a sacrifice fly to right field.

Fargo-Moorhead plucked two more across in the third inning. Jose Sermo rifled a two-run single, increasing the lead to three.

Goudeau (0-1) surrendered three runs on three hits.

The RedHawks struck for two more runs off reliever Grant Gambrell in the fifth inning. Juan Fernandez scorched a two-run double to center field for a 5-0 lead.

Fargo-Moorhead added one more in the sixth inning off a sac fly by Lamar Sparks.
